  • Fender Stratocaster

When Jason Lollar first started designing Strat pickups he was winding for specific customer requests using vintage Fender amps for reference tone. Eventually clear patterns emerged. Some players wanted low output and a clear, spanky tone, while some wanted more midrange with tighter punch. That's how the Tweed, Blonde, Blackface and Specials Strat series evolved.

Lollar Pickups complement and balance tonal profiles to match the sonic signature of each era of Fender amps. For example, a Fender Blackface amplifier has a cleaner bass response and less midrange than earlier designs, so we crafted our Blackface pickups to feed the amp more bass and midrange. Although our Blackface pickup was optimized for a Blackface-era Fender amp, depending on your objective, you still get great tone pairing it with other amps. We encourage you to experiment to find your tone! See our entire line of Strat pickups below.

  • Fender Telecaster

Our philosophy on Telecaster pickups is to open up their potential. Jason often heard from customers that their vintage Telecaster neck pickup was closed-in sounding, compressed and uninspiring. It's a given that the bridge will be the heart of the sound, but our Telecaster pickup sets are designed to give you an additional tonal counterpoint in the neck pickup.

Our entire Telecaster line is vintage inspired. These pickups are built based on our experience using, repairing, and rewinding old Telecaster pickups. We love the vintage sound and have worked hard to perfect the construction for better reliability. We don't use any off the shelf parts. Instead, every part in our Telecaster pickups — including flatwork and coil wire — is either made in our shop or made to our custom specification. As with all Lollar pickups, we pay attention to every detail and are uncompromising when it comes to materials and construction. For example, all of our Tele neck pickups have threaded baseplate holes for 6/32" mounting screws so you have the option of pickguard mount or body mount. See our entire line of Telecaster pickups below.

  • P90 Pickups

P-90 pickups are one of the most versatile single coil pickups made. Jason designed ours not only to sound great but has always built them with materials designed to not deteriorate or become brittle over time. We cut and build our bobbins here in the shop along with all of our other single coil pickups.

All of our P-90s are vintage inspired. They're also one of our most popular pickups — and for good reason; we focus on sound, consistency, and reliability. Also, you're not limited by your guitar since you can get our distinct P-90 sound in a soapbar, dog ear, humbucker, or Jazzmaster route. See our entire line of P-90 pickups below.

Our Gold Foil is a single coil pickup with unusual clarity and power. • SINGLE COILS

As with all Lollar products, our single-coil pickups are made entirely from scratch. It's just one of the things that separates us among tone seekers. We use custom parts, many made in our shop or built to our exact specs, and everything we make is scrutinized and tested to our exact standards. This is done so that everything we sell sounds right, is in phase with other Lollar pickups and is made to last a lifetime.
